At DCA, we approach disability charity work a little differently. Several of our founders and leadership team have successful backgrounds as technology entrepreneurs. They have developed software systems serving millions of people annually in the for-profit business world. They know how technology can be applied to help people and they believe that DCA will do the most good possible by creating an Internet software system that safely matches disabled children and their families with qualified professional subject matter experts and skilled caregivers. Internally, we call this innovative matching platform the “NetworkHub”. Thanks to the generous gifts of several large institutional sponsors, the NetworkHub platform development initiative is already underway, but we need additional funding to complete this project. This platform will enable DCA and partners to serve many thousands of disabled children, rather than a far smaller number on a case-by-case basis, making the NetworkHub a “force multiplier” to help many more people in need. Better still, we won’t keep this technology to ourselves: it will be made available as an “open source” project (meaning other non-profit 501(c)3 charities will also be able to use this powerful platform to further their missions at no cost). Through your donation, not only will you help DCA create this force multiplier to help maximize the quality of life of disabled children, but you will also help countless other, as-yet unknown, charities do more good as well.
